Erica’s now 8 months old, and has 6 swim lessons under her diaper.\u00a0 There’s a game similar to “Ring around the rosie” where you pick an animal or fish, and you go with your baby into the middle of\u00a0the circle.\u00a0 The others then swim around you singing “there’s a (duck, marlin, shark, etc) in the middle and she can’t get out… what is she going to do?”\u00a0 At that point you say “bubbles!”\u00a0and submerge your baby under to escape the ring.\u00a0 Clever.<\/p>\n
When it was Erica’s turn, Evonne said “she’s a Tilapia!”\u00a0 Teresa looked puzzled… obviously it was a new one for her.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
So life at 8 months… wow,\u00a02\/3\u00a0of the way to a year.\u00a0 She’s still doing raspberries,\u00a0more complex babbling “mah-mah, bah-bah”, and her manual dexterity is really improving- grabbing and\u00a0reaching for\u00a0objects\u00a0with\u00a0accuracy.\u00a0\u00a0She can pretty much sit up and stay stable without too much worry, although we\u00a0bought\u00a0some foam pieces to lay on our\u00a0rug from\u00a0Toy’s R us.\u00a0 It’s like 4 giant puzzle pieces that fit\u00a0together.\u00a0 It’s great because she can spit up, and it’s\u00a0easy to wipe up.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As for culinary exposure- yams, chicken, potato, peas, spinach, applies, pears, blueberries, and congee.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
